Thought it sounded nice but how wrong I was Absolutely appalling jaded room decor - room with cheap old used furniture - bedding tired - leaking toilet - shower made you not want to touch the sides - disgracefull bed Could not see how it would survive a visit from the environmental health inspector Never Never again It may have been adequate in the sixties for contractors - more of a kennel than a b and b but i still wouldnt let my dog stay there!!. The worst place I have stayed in over thirty years There were no plus points from the state of the bedrooms to the quality of the breakfast. Didnt complain at the time so bad thought whats the point with a business that deals in such low standards

Atmospheric, sixteenth century pub in very historic village. Friendly helpful landlord and impeccable service. Clean, cheerful rooms. Good, honest pub food and own brew. Excellent value for money.

We booked 2 nights BB for 2 with our Labrador Goldie, On arrival our room was @ rear of pub up a steel staircase which Is no go for a dog , Goldie got her paws stuck on the first step !! We were then given a very drab small room in the pub . The restaurant is very drab with broken chairs & staff not very attentive!! Food was not bad for the price & service was fast after I spoke @ length to the manager Who took over the pub 6 months ago . But not a place I would ever stay @ again @ £55 PER NIGHT . A very basic local pub in need of a lot of loving care & attention
